  • There should be a plate in front of the steering wheel - it should have a serial number with a prefix such as "TE" (built in Coventry, England) or "TO" (built in Detroit, USA) Give us the whole serial number we should be able to decipher it.
Michael Halsall wrote on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 (PST):
  • The TE-20 (English built, Standard engine) was built 1948-56 The TO-20 (US built, Continental engine) was built 1948-51 The TO-30 (US built) was built 1951-54

  • I see a plate that says TE 32691
Michael Halsall wrote on Friday, November 13, 2015 (PST):
  • TE 32691 should be a TE-20 from 1948. The engine should be a "Continental" rather than a "Standard". The "Standard" engine tractors were introduced in 1948 and were called a TEA-20 etc. The British built TE-20 and the US built TO-20 had separate serial numbering. See the "Serial Number" side-bar on the left of this page - See the "Ferguson" listing.

  • that is a ford fergson just like a ford nbut some of the fergsons had a speed shift on the side of the transmission if the tractor has a serial plate it would tell the truth for sure. at one time ford and fergson was together then they parted way.
